Miami Parking Authority brings more than six decades of experience to eMerge. Currently, the Authority provides parking for approximately 6 million vehicles annually and it has over 34,000 parking spaces under management, including:15 garages, 75 surface lots and 11,200 on-street spaces.

MPA is viewed in the industry and the community as a trailblazer and visionary.  For instance, the agency was the first organization to engage a car-sharing program in the nation and in 2008, Miami became the first major U.S. city to adopt mobile payment for parking via PayByPhone. Since then, usage has steadily grown to the point of reaching an unprecedented half-million milestone in the volume of transactions in a single month last December for which Miami Parking Authority was presented an award by PayByPhone. Miami Parking Authority was also the first local jurisdiction to absorb the PayByPhone convenience fee.  All of these initiatives have had a positive and measurable impact, further proving their commitment to pushing the city and industry forward in technology and innovation
